Applied Aerodynamics

Course Description:

This course focuses on the aerodynamic performance of wings and bodies in sub/supersonic regimes. There are four main chapters: 1. incompressible flow over airfoils and wings, 2. compressible flow over airfoils and wings, 3. real flow characteristics and 4. applied aerodynamics (aircrafts, ground vehicles, propellers and wind turbines).

1. Introduction - Fundamentals of fluid mechanics: a review

2. Incompressible 2D flow over airfoils

3. Incompressible flow over wings

4. Compressible flow over airfoils and wings

5. Basics of real flow

6. Aircraft aerodynamics

7. Aerodynamics of propellers and wind turbines

8. Aerodynamics of ground vehicles
